Alright, I'm hosting some people on my server, and I'd like to set up an FTP account for each person.

Their address would be "http://user.domain.net/name" or, without the subdomain "http://domain.net/user/name" but when I try to setup an FTP account for their directory (/user/name) it wont let me log in...

I can login to my main account with just "domain.net" as the address, then my username and password, but when I try the same address with the username and password of that users account it gives me an authentication error...

So, my question is, how do I setup an FTP account for a directory that's not top-level in public_html?

cpanel?
Check whether the usernames need to have @mydomain.com appended to them, or +mydomain.com

Yes, it says to use "name@domain.com" but in my FTP program (FileZilla) it says
"Invalid syntax" or something like that...
