upload html content

is it possible to upload ebook in html format? Because normally html consists of many .html files plus images. How shall i upload such files? If i provide download function, how to invoke the download file message box?
Anyone has any idea how to do that? Or any reference that can be found on net? I'm using asp.net in VB language.. many many thanks!!
