If you heard the news about several tornados ripping through Missouri last night, yes, they went right past where I live. One was only about 10 miles north and a really bad one hit a town 30 miles south. Spent much of the night in our basement.

What part of Missouri? I have family near the Army Base at Ft. Wood.

They had tornadoes there some years ago and it knocked down many trees in my sister & bro-in-law's yard. Sis & kids spent the night in the dark basement closet below ground level. -They played games and made it endurable.

That's an old post from March guys. Wamboid is further north of Ft. Leonard Wood, along I-70, but I forgot which town. About half 3/4 the way from St. Louis to Kansas City.

This wasn't just dug up from March, but from over a year ago in March. That night at Ft Wood sounds much like our night here that year. If I remember correctly, five tornadoes hit towns in different directions from us that night, all within 20 miles. We were feeling pretty lucky the next day.

btw, back when I was in the army I lived at Ft Wood for 5 years. Small world isn't it.

Well heck, -you probably know my brother-in-law then. He's civvy these days on-base, but was a Drill Instructor a number of years ago.

I may not know him, but if he was there as a drill instructor in the 90's then he would have brought some troops through my office for processing at some point. Was that too long ago for him?

But I never want to live threw one. You did. I know I dont know you, but im glad your alive. I hate to see people die because of those things. And because of bombs and stuff. But im really glad your okay. And all the other people. Hope we can be friends. :)
