I wouldn't use Flash. I have met a lot of people in my day that don't have flash installed because they don't like the annimation.

Sorry its just a quick mock up was easyer to just wack the concept togeather in flash quickly! I will be coding it up in css once i have a few artists to put into the site!

Nice selections. It would be a good idea to have some sort of description on the page, as to what these are -- images for webpages, print publications, desktop wallpapers or just a gallery for viewing. In other words, some sort of disclaimer stating how they can be used. Water marking the images would also be a good idea.

Good start, I would definetly use flash insted of html/css for this kind of site.
Insted of loading everything in 1 flash file break out your design and image packages. So when you click on image then it will load it. Also maybe make some urban design for the background, Something like a urban scene in light gray colors, with some color highlights here and there. Like city block with ppl on streets all in different shades and then Street Name Sign in bold bright color, or guys sneakers in color and backpack...... ulet you imagination run wild
