I need to convert an FLV to AVI or MPEG or something else that would play in a normal media player. Every free converter I find seems to leave a watermark. Does anyone know of a good one that doesn't leave the watermark?
Thanks!

FFmpeg is free, open source, high quality, and it converts pretty much from anything to anything.
The program: http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...kage_id=248632
The docs: http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg-doc.html
The "quick start" section of the docs is quite interested. I understand how the commands work, but I can't seem to find initial setup instructions. I ran an exe file that came with the download then tried running the ffmpeg commands to convert the files.
When executing through DOS:
I'm getting 'ffmpeg' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
That's because there is no setup, no installer. The EXE you downloaded is the program itself. When in DOS, change directory (cd) to where ffmpeg is, then enter the commands.
Perfect explanation! Makes since now. Thanks Jeff..much appreciated!
FFMPEG works great, and free.
