new web site/help re: format and resolution
greetings, any and all. i am a new user and would be very grateful indeed for any help that anyone might offer.
i'm starting a new business website: www.english2china.com/.
my question is specific, at the moment, although any other comments would also be appreciated. As for the site itself, i 'put it together' myself using kompozer, however i've been told that the web pages do not appear correctly in other browsers/OS's.
can anyone verify that there is an issue that i must resolve and perhaps let me know whether this is a CSS problem? i know nothing about this at all and it doesn't seem easy to 'pick it up' quickly without any prior skills (which admittedly i lack!).
thanks in advance. sz
follow up request for advice...thanks
Hello, once again. I'm trying to straighten out the issues with my web site: www.english2china.com/.
I have realized that I had might as well take this opportunity to try to work out the remaining code issues. I'm just trying to put together a simple site.
I have 'narrowed' down the outline and the frames. I removed the big image at the top. I'm wondering if someone might be able to help me with two specific issues.
In firefox, the title lettering (2 lines at top) align nicely, but in IE they're a little off. Is this a 'code' issue, i.e., is there any way that I can prevent the 2 browsers from rendering differently? Or, is there perhaps some sort of workaround for this issue. I don't suppose I'm the first one who has had this occur...
Second, I'm definitely having some issues with the text link colors...and some other color issues that I'd like to change but I seem unable to do so through the normal means...
Also, could anyone provide the 'second level' of advice, i.e., any comments about other issues with the home page of the site (the linked pages have not yet been adjusted...)
Much obliged as always. If I can help the forum in any way, please let me know. Thanks! sz
