Can we use gradient background for the complete website

I want to use a gradient color background for the complete website,is it possible

The primary issue with CSS gradient images is that Internet Explorer does not have direct support for them. IE has limited gradient capabilities through their filter: system. So if you want a simple two-color linear gradient, you can do in CSS with wide support. For anything more complex, I'd recommend creating a background image in your graphics program.

Try a good CSS gradient generator tool. Find a gradient image you like and it writes the CSS code for you. If you don't like that tool, just make a gradient image for your site:
