You can input "what is .NET and php" in Google. You can find much information. Good luck!
You can take a course of .net and php first. Then you have more confidence to do this kind of things, for .net and php are not that easy.

Php is easy to learn , So start with Php .
I definitely would say PHP is your best bet, I've dabbled in both ASP and PHP and PHP is just so much nicer to work with, and just as versatile... Plus it's free! :)
