The first resource I would recommend would be Kevin Skoglund's course available at www.lynda.com. This course is not free and you would have to pay $25 for one month and everything is in online video format. He has a beginner's course and a beyond the basics course. If your finances are limited and you're looking for a free course I would recommend phpacademy.org. The gentleman who created this site is very young but he is extremely talented and a gifted teacher and offers all his courses for free and makes money only through donations. Due to the quality of his free teaching he receives alot of donations.
