To forestall any redundant postings, I know that the best answer would be something like:
Use jQuery! and I would agree with anyone who posted that advice.
Unfortunately, my client does not wish to go that route on any legacy code, which probably postdates jquery
by quite a few years.
Since his money is always good, and since I don't even have a windows computer handy, the best avenue for
me is to have access to comprehensive documentation on the differences between what I think of as
