How to "over-write"
Is there any way to over-write a previous line with html?
What I want to do is to have a line that says "Waiting" and then overwrite that line when the thing I'm waiting on finishes. Seems simple yes? (Or I could have a timer and overwrite with the new time every second or so.)
This used to be simple - just use a carriage return with no line feed but that doesn't work with html. Isn't there a way to produce that effect. I tried back spacing also - doesn't work.
I tried searching JS, but the best option I could find involves "onload" which doesn't work with <table>.
There are many java scripts you can find as open source.
