Canceling a superscript in a table.

In the following code snippet:
Code:

`html>`

<head>

<title>Calculating Loan Payments</title>

</head>

<body>

<center><h1>Calculating Loan Payments</h1></center>

<center><table style="font-size: 20px;">

<tr><td>1) </td><td><b>F</b> = </td><td></td><td>A * (1 + i)n - 1</td><td>+A * (1 + i)n - 2</td><td> + . . . . </td>

<td>+A * (1 + i)2</td><td>+A * (1 + i)1</td><td>+A</td></tr>

</table></center><br>

</body></html>

each term in the equation has a smaller superscript (exponent) except for the last one which as a value of simply **+A**. However, it looks like it is part of the exponent for the next to last term.

What did I miss?
