I have a flash template, with an xml config file.
I need to reformat just one button/external_link (text based) of the menu, so that it has to be of a different color
and larger font...
Thanks. I fixed the squeezed image in IE by removing height="100%". :)
I fully understand all of your arguments, but still i'm so close to achieve pure relative code so that i cannot give it up...
A new improvement! :D
By adding "position:relative" in the divs, i've got a full control over small pic.
Some empty space on the right of the big image.
Bad look in IE
Yes that's it. Thanks a lot. ;)
However, although i'm unable to see it at 1280 resolution, i know there will be an empty space on the right side and below the image at that resolution.
OK, after applying Centauri's new code the situation is better again.
Now the whole big image is visible without repeating, and since i've applied JPnyc's suggestion (i set dimensions of the small...
Thanks for your time. :)
I attached (zipped) html page, with redefined code according to your suggestions.
There are improvements regarding the position of the small image (the same in FF and...
I have attached a picture of what i want to do.

I'm trying to put the picture inside the div, on top of the big image inside the table cell. I actually can do it, but an empty space appears above this composition.
If there's another way to do...
here is a new problem with this layer.
I can now set the layer on document relative position, but since i put it as the first body element (before table), an empty space (with...
Hit on the target!
I'm using Doctype:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
and it works fine in IE, the problem is FIREFOX.
i'm trying to set some layer (which contains certain picture) to stay on a position relative to document (window), so it look the same in all resolutions - for example: 10% from left, and...
I thought that <br> forces browser to break line, but seems that depends on context (like in this example).
i have 1 question about the following code:
2: define("ADAY", (60*60*24) );
3: if ( ! checkdate( $month, 1, $year ) )
5: $nowArray = getdate();
I have a problem =: with IE.
It gives a grey background to some (text) png pics, although they have transparent backgrounds.
How to get rid of that?
FF works ok with it.
Try 'Trifecta button'. It resolved my problem with css rollovers. ;)
Well le, i think the best way to go is to combine css with tables.
Css is really the best for separation of content and presentation, and imo it should be used widely.
On the other hand, tables...
I personally would use a table, but since you're trying to make a non-table layout, some of local css guys could help you about that.
Oops, i must clarify something:
it is (of course) not necessary to put different(%) sizes in img tags.:)
You can give them any % size you want. I meant, that way you can arrange your images of...
Here is the fine solution provided by mark_yieh:
<table width="100%" cellpadding="0px" cellspacing="0px" border="1px">
<img src="nameOfImage.jpg" width="100%" />
WebJoel, thanks a lot for the corrections.
Now I must digest a part about z-index, and show up soon with some questions. :)
KDLA, sorry for delay.
That's it again. :)
And many thanks again. :) :)
by the way, i achieved the same result by putting cellpadding="0" & cellspacing="0" in the html before inline...
I put this rounded (4 gifs on the corners) table in a layer and tried to achieve transparency effect on that layer, but when i add opacity in the table inline style, i get some space between the...
