I have looked at it and added all the states (not just the up one) and it now works fine. It was from a tutorial and so I just presumed that I wouldn't need to do that.

How come they work fine when previewed through flash but not IE??

When I preview the dreamweaver page which contains the gallery using ie, i can see the gallery but none of the roll-over buttons work ie when i roll over a thumbnail an enlarged image should appear...
