im new to PHP and im trying to pick up as much as i can as quickly as possible

ive used a form to submit data to the database and now i want to pull that data and display it on a page....

yeah it didnt work

ive got it working now though by using this
$new_date = date('Y-m-d',strtotime($_POST['date']));

the date is still appearing in the database as 0000-00-00

i was using the inline code to display the jquery UI datepicker
which was just to insert a div with the datepicker id, but i know what you mean by needing somewhere to put the date in.

the form with the datepicker is currently submitting 000-00-00 into the date column
