I think you've hit the nail on the head with the design of the template. Both the design and the coloration reflect the topic as well as the main idea of your website.

As a whole your site is nice, but the coloration of the page looks unserious and doesn't cause trust, to my mind. I think you should decrease the quantity of bright colors on your site.

Yeah, in order to bring more traffic to your site you need more backlinks(commenting blogs, writting articles or just writing posts) and registration in directories will help a lot here

You should work a lot with the SERP, the only notice-don't take quick activities and avoid paid links, all work demands some patience and time
