There are different ways to use CSS. These are Inline, Internal and External.
Start with External.

Open up a new document and create the following AS IT IS. You don't need to use the HTML tags....

Why do you need multiple classes? I am not saying multiple classes are impossible but it goes against the whole point of CASCADING Style Sheets.
