i'm trying to use ajax more in my applications

so then in order to pass it back to the function that called it so that it knows not to allow the form to go - I have to set a hidden variable in the form? is that the answer here?

the problem is that this statement doesn't work with the html earea

document.getElementById('emailbody').value = e.innerHTML;

value has to be replaced with the text in the div emailbodyt of *amount here* and then put into emailbody textarea

but i need to just repalce the words from the hidden text field and replace that to thte textarea so this won't really help (plus it's doing the same thing so I doubt it will work)
