SQL error for Advanced GuestBook install

Can anyone help out with this.

I have a client that is trying to install this app on his account and this error keeps coming up.

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO) in /home/nickmont/public_html/guestbook/pkg/lib/mysql.class.php on line 30
    Connection Error

It looks like a simple access issue to me but it does not ask for a username or password during the installation.

Can anyone help? I can give you more information if needed.

Sounds like the mysql connect string is not setup correctly. Is root supposed to have a password? is root the correct user?

Well this is an automatic install script.

When i look at the db that it is creating it also creates a user. The name of the db that it creates is called agbook1 and then the user is called agbook1. So i assume that the db wants to use the user it creates.

When i use php myadmin to look at the db there our no tables in it.

So it stumps me. Hope this helps.

look at the script itself. There should be some configuration file somewhere for the initial database connection.
