Remote connections to local apache server
I have been using apache as a development server for a while now, but never really thought of it's use as anything but on a local machine.
Someone asked me the opther day if it is possible to setup an apache server on their local machine to allow remote connection.
The server would obviously need some login script etc. I guess, but how would I go about doing this?
Can someone here help?
Your question is a little unclear. You can remotely connect to other machines regardless of whether it has Apache's http server installed on it or not. Do you mean you'd like to use Apache's http server as a means for someone to do some work, publish it, and also allow you to retrieve it via the web, or do you intend to do something else entirely?
