    error: Cannot Read

    I'm completly new to Java programming..and when I went to compile my first program, it gave me an error, error: cannot read: HelloWorldApp.java

    Does anyone know why it's doing this and what I can do to fix it. I've tried everything that I know...and none of its helped.

    EDIT: Nevermind...i figured it out I made a really dumb mistake.

    where u hav created the file HelloWorldApp.java
    copy it to ur bin directory
    and then try
    or set classpath to javac directory

    I recommend useing an IDE like JCreator. Make things a little easier
