unique payment system... PLZ HELP!

I have a site that is pretty unique in many ways and one is that there are several store owners and I need to collect payment from buyers online securely and then turn around and make secure payments back to the store owners once payment has cleared. Does anyone have any experience doing something like this? I have already contacted authorize.net about this to see if they can help, but man are they slow and i'm in a rush as always.

edit: just wanted to say I am definitely not against using some of the base code from someone like zencart... I just have no idea if it can do what I need?? THANKS!

What kind of payment are we talking about, credit card, bank transfer, prepaid cards??

At this point, whatever will work and is most secure. I am very rushed to just get the site live and functioning.

If you need it fast there are several ready made systems available.
One of the most well known is the paypal system. the downside of that
is that your clients will have to register with paypal and not every company
is allowed to use it. You would have to read the user agreements for that.

Also there are several companies that specialize in credit card payments
which also provide secure handling of payments. The upside is that your clients
not have to signup for it. The downside is that they cost money.
A big one is bibit at bibit.com

Perhaps they meet your needs.
