Having trouble using/opening windows media player 10...

Whenever I try to open up windows media player 10, it says "an internal application error has occured". Does anyone know what this means because I can't even use the media player at all, it just keeps saying that statement over and over again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just uninstall it from the control panel, and then reinstall it from the microsoft site

I just checked back on this site from last week and saw that someone posed as me. How weird. The media player thread was NOT started by me. What kind of a loser would do that??????????
