Thread: not same on FF & IE

    not same on FF & IE

    Guys help me indentify why's the page looking different on IE. The part that's different in IE is there is side scroll, here's link:

    Could be your background-image settings. Your background is really wide, and the repeat-x setting in combination with the absolute positioning could be making the design stretch past the screen's width.

    BTW - your background is a really big file, and in BMP format. Really, you should compress this to a jpg of a much smaller file size.

    I have 2 background images, bottom one with grass which is (793x98)14.7kb and top one with gradient which is 692 bytes. I am not sure where do you see large BMP image?! Background image shouldn't affect the width of the page right?

    nevermind I foudn the problem, I had an empty <DIV ID="oDiv"></DIV> on top of the page that was causing problem. Thanks for the help!

    Sorry - for some reason, Explorer said it was a BMP file -- don't know why. Could be that I clicked on the wrong thing.
    FYI

    you might have some corrupt plug-in opbjects in your browser
    Check your IE settings.
