I am putting this here because I assume there is no way to do this in HTML.
I am trying do allow my website visitor to choose what piece of literature they wish to view (all are in pdf format) by either using a drop down to choose the language they want (which helps determine which pdf to show) or by selecting the language from the drop down and then clicking a button. I would prefer it if I could keep the clicks to a minimum and have it fire from the dropdown box's "on change" event.
To complicate matters I would also like to open this in a new window and remove the menu and button bars that normally accompany a web page leaving only adobe's menu.
Can this be done and can anyone point me in the right direction to do it? I am not looking for someone to write it for me but I have tried several options I found on the web and none will even open the page in a new window. (or even in the old one so far. LOL) Thaks in advance for any help I can get.
I tried it and it WORKED. After several hours of banging my head against all the code snippits I could find on the web, this one actually did exactly what I needed to do and with such a simple code. I was all around it but never had it in exactly that format.
