Element Widths: Is there a way to mix variable and pixel value
Is there any way to make an element that has a percentage based width until it reaches a defined minimum width?
I'm working on a custom Joomla template and while % based columns are nice, I strongly dislike what happens when they're viewed in browsers below 800x600 resolution. Right now I'm leaning towards dumping the expanding columns and making them absolute-width. However I like how the expanding design fills up large/widescreen resolutions.
About the only thing I can think of is use of if statements with java or php.
Apologies if this has been covered before, I tried a search and came up with nothing.
thereŽs a min-width property in css. google for it and youŽll soon find out that ie canŽt handle it (dunno if not properly or not at all). but there are work-arounds. just google it.
Thanks for the speedy reply, I figured it was something simple like that.
