Passwording a page

I would like to password a page of my web site. I use Dreamweaver. Does anyone have any ideas on a free/share/cheap/simple code to achieve this?

What, if any, servers-side technologies (PHP, ASP, Java, CGI, ect.) do you have available to you? Alternatively what web server are you running on?

Thanks for prompt interest. I'm not too sure what technologies are available . We use 123.com as host if this helps. If not, I could ask them.
