    Below is code for a page that works fine except fpr sopme reason it does not add the variable value as it should to the url. If you look at the bottom of the code. i ecoded the variable and the value does display. any idea why its not adding the variable value to the url
    PHP Code:
    <a href=<?php echo'UpdateMyInformation.php?id=$user_id'?>>Edit</a>

    PHP Code:
    <?php

    session_start
    ();  // Start Session?

    include 'config/db.php'

    $query= ("SELECT * FROM users WHERE user_id = '$user_id'");

    $result=mysql_query($query) or die(mysql_error());

    while(
    $r=mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) {

    $first_name  $r['first_name'];
    $last_name $r['last_name'];
    $DOB $r['DOB'];
    $street_address $r['street_address'];
    $post_office_box $r['post_office_box'];
    $city $r['city'];

    Use double quotes around the string being echoed instead of single so that the variable gets interpolated.
