    unexpected T_VARIABLE

    could someone possibly tell me how to fix this?

    The error reads:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE, expecting ',' or ';' in /home/lyss19/public_html/cutenews/search.php on line 323

    I'm pretty sure this is line 323:

    PHP Code:
    ////////// Showing Result
    echo"<br /><b><a href="$PHP_SELF?misc=search&subaction=showfull&id=$local_id&archive=$archive&cnshow=news&ucat=$item_arr[6]&start_from=&$user_query">$item_arr[2]</a></b>("date("d F, Y"$item_arr[0]) .")"
    Link to the whole php file, if you'd like to look at it..

    Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

    You need to either escape the quotes around the href= string with a backslashes, or else use single quotes instead of double quotes there.
