I have been trying to figure out how to automatically resize a pop-up window through a link remotely hosted on a website that only opens a small window (not large enough to view my content), to open and then resize to show the entire pop-up. I have been unable to figure it out on Dreamweaver, If you have any information pertaining to this fix It would be greatly appreciated.
<SCRIPT TYPE="text/javascript">
<!--
function popup(mylink, windowname)
{
if (! window.focus)return true;
var href;
if (typeof(mylink) == 'string')
href=mylink;
else
href=mylink.href;
window.open(href, windowname, 'width=400,height=150,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes');
return false;
}
//-->
</SCRIPT>
By default popups cannot be resized by the user. This is usually not a problem... most popups just contain small notes or ads. If your popup contains a lot of information, however, it's a nice touch to let the user resize the window to something more convenient. Set the popup to resizable by setting the resizable property to yes in the open() command. For example, this command in the popup script opens a resizable popup:
window.open(href, windowname, 'width=400,height=150,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes');
which gives us this popup.
