    SELECT Description, PartID
    FROM Part
    ORDER BY Description

What i want to do, is place an "=" sign infront of all the PartID's. Is this possible

assuming partid is an int field, we can do this in sql server like:

SELECT Description, '=' + convert(varchar(20), PartID) as partid
    FROM Part
    ORDER BY Description

Hi thanks for your response with the code:

SELECT Description, '=' + convert(varchar(20), PartID) as partid
    FROM Part
    ORDER BY Description

However, i am using access and for some reason it does not like this "convert" statement. Any ideas. Thanks
