    Variables in HTML and variables in PHP

    5-15-2007

    Dear Frieds:

    Submitting HTML form data to PHP server.

    If HTML form has more variables than the amount of variables in PHP server,
    ( AND if excess variables in HTML form do not have appropreate corresponding PHP variables , ) does server ignore such variables and process only appropreate corresponding variables ?

    Does server output error ?

    I don't understand what your asking here, are you asking if it's possible to have more fields in a form than the server can handle? because that's possible, but unlikely.

    PHP will only get variables you want:
    i.e:
    if you have :
    ... name = "fullname" ...
    ... name = "address" ....
    ... name = "city" ....
    ...etc ...SUBMIT
    In PHP use: $name = $_POST['fullname'];
    So make variables for what you need only ..
    Anyway I didn't understand your question very well, hope that helps
