PHP Streamlining Software?

Does anyone know if there are any apps out there that will make my php code more efficient WITHOUT mangling standard coding practices?

I'm trying to make things run a little more smoothly without destroying the output.

you could put this at the top of your pages first thing before anything else including session_start();
