    Need a free css editor

What are some of the best free css editor's out there? I currently use Dreamweaver for all of my coding, but i have dual monitors and i hate not being able to have a different document up on each monitor. So i am looking for a good standalone css editor to replace editing css in dreamweaver.

    Thanks.

If you're familiar with CSS...I recommend some of these:

    http://www.pspad.com
    http://www.crimsoneditor.com
    http://cream.sourceforge.net/

Topstyle Lite is well thought of.

Why a separate editor? Matrix Y2K allows html, js, css and php pages to be opened at same time for editing.

i use notepad++ much for my personal editing.

I have tried many, but like this one most out of used ones. I also noticed a few editors on new site, have look http://codango.com/php/dir/software/...t/?tab=refined.

I very much like http://www.codango.com/ for finding scripts and such I need. some other directories may also have some good lists of editors for you to read more on.

I hope you will find a lightweight editor that is much better and easier to use than dreamweaver. i wish you good of luck.

I prefer Topstyle Lite because it is not a Jack of all trades, but tailored specifically for CSS and also shows which elements are handled in a range of browsers for CSS1 and CSS2, Additionally it can show what effect each style will have in a separate window. I use crimson editor for the HTML/PHP coding.
