    Put generated image in website

    Hey I found this code to turn normal text into an image, here it is...

    PHP Code:
    makeImageF("$title","GOTHIC.TTF");
    function
    makeImageF($text$font="GOTHIC.TTF"$W=457$H=23$X=0$Y=0$fsize=18.5$color=array(0x7d,0x7d,0x7d), $bgcolor=array(0xFF,0xFF,0xFF)){

    $im = @imagecreate($W$H)
    or die(
    "Cannot Initialize new GD image stream");

    $background_color imagecolorallocate($im$bgcolor[0], $bgcolor[1], $bgcolor[2]);        //RGB color background.
    $text_color imagecolorallocate($im$color[0], $color[1], $color[2]);            //RGB color text.

    imagettftext($im$fsize$X$Y$fsize$text_color$font$text);
    header("Content-type: image/gif");
    return
    imagegif($im);

    It works perfectly but when I put that coding inside of the page where I want to use to image the code just takes over and all I see is the image output.

    HTML Code:
    <img src="whatever.php">

    PHP Code:
    <?php
    function makeImageF($text$font="GOTHIC.TTF"$W=457$H=23$X=0$Y=0$fsize=18.5$color=array(0x7d,0x7d,0x7d), $bgcolor=array(0xFF,0xFF,0xFF)){

    $im = @imagecreate($W$H)
    or die(
    "Cannot Initialize new GD image stream");

    $background_color imagecolorallocate($im$bgcolor[0], $bgcolor[1], $bgcolor[2]);        //RGB color background.
    $text_color imagecolorallocate($im$color[0], $color[1], $color[2]);            //RGB color text.

    imagettftext($im$fsize$X$Y$fsize$text_color$font$text);
    header("Content-type: image/gif");
    return
    imagegif($im);

    makeImageF("$title","GOTHIC.TTF");
    ?>
    makeImageF needs to be called after the function is defined.

    I haven't a problem with it on my end - place the call to the function to the right place is what I needed to do to get it to work.

    Where's is $title coming from?

    Maybe a look more in the code that is calling the img tag would help.

    $title is coming from a MySQL query that is in the page I'm trying to place the image...

    Are you doing something like <img="image.php?txt=<?php echo $row['title'];?>"> ?

    Wait is there a way to look at the page live?

    I think it might have something to do with

    PHP Code:
    header("Content-type: image/gif");

    Well you need the header to tell the broswer that it's a gif or a what ever..

    Hmm yeah something with the header is messing something up.... did you close your img tag??

    Other than that - any other header statements or ob_start() in your code anywhere.
