Error after database update

I have a form that updates a database entry. When I submit, the data is updated, but after pressing submit the buttons to move me to the first, previous, next, or last database record no longer function and I get a server error. The server log says

"80040e57|[Microsoft][ODBC_Microsoft_Access_Driver]Invalid_string_or_buffer_length_ 80 - 72.201.222.169" What does this imply? How do I debug this?
