PowerPoint presentation problem
Someone at work sent me a PowerPoint presentation, and accidently saved it with the read-only embedded font box checked. Now I can't edit it. What can I do to reverse this?
I was told :
If you try to edit or save it, you may receive an error message.
This behavior occurs because the presentation contains an Embedded Read Only font. This makes the presentation restricted to read-only.
You can resolve this issue by installing Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2), provided that you're using PowerPoint 2003.
Is this correct ?
Oh, is there another way to reverse this?
When I first open the presentation, I get a message saying that "This presentation cannot be edited because it contains a read-only embedded font." I cannot save, or edit it. The save buttons are actually grayed out. I have them working on finding the original, so hopefully that is around somewhere. I'm not sure if I can install the Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 2, because of all the security here.
