multimedia email greeting cards

I am looking to have a few cards designed-

Wondering 1. what software is recommended for sending cards to my client list [ want to be able to do 1000 at a time... so must be able to upload list...]

2. if I hire a designer what specifications should I give them for the design of the card [s].

try somekind of spammer programm, no not for spamming but there made for sending out TONS of stuff all at once
