What are the other ways to trigger a HTTP request via browser?

I know some ways:
* input a URL at address bar and enter
* click a hyperlink on a webpage
* click some button that trigger a POST of form
* using javascript XMLHTTPRQUEST

is there any other ways? if so, what scenarios are they for?

Here's a few more obvious ones that you missed.

* selecting a bookmark from the browser bookmarks menu.
* updating document.location from JavaScript
* updating the page in a frame pr iframe via the appropriate location object in JavaScript
* submitting a form from JavaScript
