[RESOLVED] Require email for free templates
I would like to offer some free templates on my website; however, I would like to get the person's name, email and company (if applicable) in return so that I can follow up with them (not spam them!).
What would be the best way to do this? A PHP script? Manually (i.e., they request templates, I send back via email)? Auto-reply email address?
I'd appreciate some suggestions!
Something server-side. You'll probably need PHP and MySQL, but any server-side language will do.
Great wit and madness are near allied, and fine a line their bounds divide.
That confirms my thoughts...
Would having to give your contact info first dissuade you from wanting free templates? If you were reasonably assured that I wouldn't abuse your info?
If they were really good and exceptional, but there are thousands of templates out there that you can get without leaving an email, so you are considering 'charging' for something that they can get elsewhere for free.

You're right ... if they were web design templates. But they're not... sorry I wasn't very clear in my post.
Nonetheless, you've answered my question.
