You want "web site optimization", "SEO". Google likes semantic coding, seperation of presentation's CSS from HTML's content. Meaningful links, both internal and external. Good content with indexable terms. And, -patience. It can take a few weeks for Googlebot to 'crawl' your site and decide how to place it.
