    can effect.morph include text?

    hi,

I'm quite new to javascript and I'm attempting to integrate the effect.morph function from scriptaculous to a site I'm working on. Everything has gone well so far, but I'm wondering if there is a way to include text in the effect (changing the content of the text with the background color/size).

If not, does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do to achieve a similar effect?

    Thanks so much!

Not sure what you mean by this, or even the particular implementation of Morph (there are many). Generally speaking you need to have mathematically meaningful values to achieve a true morph, such as color values or integer sizes (widths, heights). Text SIZE can be transitioned mathematically, but not font, obviously. If you are really serious about creating a vector-based text morphing capability, I suggest researching the CANVAS HTML tag, which may enable you to do just that if you are exceedingly clever.
