I am looking for a search program to buy to make a search engine site which will search many sites owned by myself and partner sites which the same type of content. My women in business group want to make a search engine to search all our sites so the search engine needs a way to have it search several urls.
However I am very lacking in knowledge about tech stuff and always buy my CMS for the same company because they are php based but they do not offer a search engine.
I worry a great deal about new companies because when I have used other company, I have had a problem getting hacked. I simple do no have the knowledge (or time) to update patches all the time and even thinking of a remote host searches.
If anyone can give me some advice on how to handle this?
We looked at google by we wanted to all go in on a search engine with a lot more stats so we can see what people search for and what links they click etc.
