    How to remove <ul> white background in IE?

    I've created menus using unordered list <ul>. I want the background to be transparent. It works in Firefox but in IE, the background is white even though I have not set any background color. Appreciate some help please.

    Thank you.

    Right at the end of the css, the <li>s are given a white background (via a class inserted by all that rubbishy spry javascript) :
    Code:
    	ul.MenuBarHorizontal li.MenuBarItemIE
    	{
    		display: inline;
    		f\loat: left;
    		background: #FFF;
    	}
