ASP - server.map path and strings

Hello.
For starters, I can't post my code because its for work and I can't really post it from work.

(not .net)

I'm using server.mapPath("./")
works as expected.

Now this might be confusing because I might be confused here
When I use myArray(i) (which is a string: "../homedir/news")
It says path not found when I load the page.

I've tried putting every possible combinations of addresses and nothing seems to work.

It might look different with fresh eyes tomorrow, until then, any suggestions?

Even though it says path not found there is usually an error message attached and we would need that to troubleshoot.
