Grab specific data from RSS feeds?

Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to grab specific data from RSS feeds.

An example of what I would like to create is if a user of my site types in a keyword like "Apples" in a text box of some sort and submits it. The user will then receive all stories or news containing the word "Apples" in it for whatever RSS feeds they are subscribed to on the site.
