Dreamwear UI Question

Hello everyone.

I have been working in Dreamweaver for a while now and know pretty much everything about the UI. Except for one thing. What is that little input text field in the properties inspector for. It shows up when you click on an image.

Once you click on the image in design view a little thumbnail appears on the left of the properties. On the very right of that thumbnail there is a text input. What do i put in there?? If I type something in it gives it an ID, but why is it there for images and things like flash?

Instead of using a class, you could id your image for greater specificity in CSS or there are some dynamic image galleries in JavaScript that use it to identify each image.
