    Unhappy css charset utf-8 bug in IE6

    I am having a bit of a problem when loading external style sheets and using utf-8 encoding at the same time in IE6.

    My code appears below and a sample can be viewed here www.localshots.com

    Everything is fine when viewed in IE7, FF2, FF3, Safari, Opera y Chrome, but it seems that the external stylesheets are not being loaded in IE6.

    If I remove the line meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8", the css is loaded in IE6 and the layout appears fine. However, I absolutely must have the encoding set to utf-8 due to the fact that my site is multi-language.

    If I add the line meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8", then IE6 does not load the external style sheets correctly and the layout appears all messed up.

    Yes, I know there are conditional [if IE] statements, this is not the issue. I have tested adding the external stylesheets one at a time, IE6 does not recognize them unless I remove the encoding charset completely.

    I have searched online numerous forums for countless hours and I cant find anything on this.

    I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you in advance.

    <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">

    The site looks the same in Fx and IE6, with a few minor differences.

    There are a few problems:
    The css utf-8 encoding and charset work correctly on my sites. This is not the problem.
