Relocate CakePHP CMS to new server

    Hi Webdeveloper members,

I am new to CakePHP framework and i have a website created and running under CakePHP which i need to relocate to new server.

I am not sure how to proceed forward - to copy all files from one to another? I think server paths are different which may also cause problems?!

    Kind regards

It should be as simple as copying all of the cake files into the root of your new public_html, then exporting the database as a .sql file and running it against your new db. One caveat is to make sure you copy the .htaccess files if you are working on linux or mac as they are hidden by default.
