    Post Question about Deploying

I developed a Project in Cake PHP having the concept of "You Tube" Clone. I converted all the Videos to .FLV from any video formats. It's working fine on Windows machine (localhost), but it's not working in Linux server. So i request a Client to buy a Windows machine.

He replied that " We will be deploying the site on a Linux box. We will have to establish the video conversion on our windows server maybe under a subdomain".

    Is it Possible?

    Please Clarify.

    Thanks in Advance

With ffmpeg you can even upload just about any format and exec() the command line to convert to flv. It happens all when the user uploads the file.

If you question is can Linux serve flv, yes it can. If you're serving flash media then you really ought to be using something like red5
Anti Linux rants are usually the result of a lack of Linux experience, while anti Windows rants are usually a result of a lot of Windows experience.
